When to go
- October to March. The main wedding season in the hills: clear skies and comfortable days. Popular dates fill early, so book venues well ahead.
- April to June. Warm days and pleasant evenings. Day functions move indoors or under shade, and evening functions work well on lawns.
- July to September. Monsoon. Heavy rain can close hill roads, so we plan covered venues and spare travel time, or suggest another season.
Getting there
- By road from Delhi: the Delhi–Dehradun Expressway, opened in April 2026, brings the drive down to about two and a half hours.
- By air: Jolly Grant Airport serves Dehradun.
- By train: Dehradun railway station has direct trains from Delhi.
