When to go
- October to March. Crisp, clear days. December to February nights are cold and snow is possible, which makes beautiful photos but needs heaters, warm welcome kits and spare travel time.
- April to June. The hill station's busy summer season. Cool weather when the plains are hot, but book rooms early.
- July to September. Monsoon. Heavy rain can close hill roads, so we plan covered venues and spare travel time, or suggest another season.
Getting there
- By road from Delhi: the Delhi–Dehradun Expressway, opened in April 2026, brings the drive down to about two and a half hours. Mussoorie is a further climb up the hill from Dehradun.
- By air or train: fly into Jolly Grant Airport or take a train to Dehradun, then drive up.
Good to know
- Hill roads are narrow, so we plan guest shuttles in smaller vehicles instead of large coaches.
- Most venues are smaller than in the plains, so we match the guest list to the venue early.
